The Peak Power Cycling Program is a comprehensive plan that integrates a combination of evaluating your fitness and physical condition, then implementing a personal training plan with periodic reviews of your improvements gained over time. The process utilizes modern training techniques such as custom tailored programs on the CompuTrainer and Spinscan etc., which can be done at home or in a group environment. If followed diligently, the individualized training program, which is built on your specific training zones, will help you to gain power significantly.
By using the PEAK Training System, you ensure that you are stressing the body to adapt specifically the way you want it to. Though consistent and persistent training, you will notice that certain physiological parameters will begin to improve, meaning that your aerobic capacity is improving. Subsequent assessments conducted at the 3rd, 6th, and 9th month into training will ensure that power (training) improvements are objectively measured, zones are adjusted, and training progression is periodized.

Individualized Training Zones
With an accurate determination of your personal training zones, the PEAK Training System is designed to help the athlete develop their power and strength through a scientific process unique to the specific needs of the individual. Each training zone is targeting to improve a specific aspect of your performance.
Zones 1, 3 & 5 provide specific training parameters to develop and contribute to your improvement through precise and measured workouts.
Zones 2 and 4 are used for the development of specific skills that match specific requirements of road races, triathlon, mountain biking or trail.
To adequately determine the training zones, an analysis of the levels of lactate in the blood at different exercise intensities is required. Once these zones are established, they can be applied in the training workouts to help you reach your maximum potential.
